Solar Paving at  Stellenbosch University, South Africa

On February 10, 2022, our team in South Africa installed 24 solar pavers in series at Stellenbosch University’s “Launch Lab”. This installation is a core element of the curriculum to help educate students about solar paving. This site will be used for demonstrations, meetings and events.

Stellenbosch University was recently named the hub of a Postgraduate Programme in Renewable and Sustainable Energy Studies by the South African National Energy Research Institute (SANERI), a division of the Central Energy Fund (CEF).

The University is paving the way to cut fossil fuel emissions and encourage energy-efficient buildings. Solar Earth will be front and center in moving Stellenbosch towards a carbon-neutral university.
